Hello, my name is Rebecca

I am the author of three upcoming children's books focusing on emotional wellbeing: ‘Scaredy Bear’s Courageous Tale’, ‘Sad Seal Saves the Day’ and ‘Wilma the Worried Worm’.

The books are designed to help children in KS1 to explore and understand their emotional wellbeing in a fun and engaging way. Which support the PHSE Curriculum.

I'm offering FREE READING Sessions to Primary Schools

As the books have not yet been published, I am offering free storytime sessions to schools interested in exploring these resources. These sessions will provide an opportunity for your pupils to engage with the stories firsthand and for you to see the potential benefits of incorporating them into your teaching.

With the increasing emphasis on mental health and emotional wellbeing in schools, these books, games and activity sheets offer valuable resources to support children's emotional development within the PHSE Curriculum.

Each story is accompanied with teacher notes and engaging activities, providing guidance on how the books can be integrated into your curriculum to promote discussions and activities around emotional literacy.

Free 1 Hour Sessions that are Fun & Engaging

As a trainer with over 20 years experience, I have lots of resources to help to teach the deeper meaning of the stories in a fun and engaging way.

I can draw the emotions for the children to guess them, we can play interactive team card games or they can enjoy colouring in the activity sheets. I'll tailor the sessions to meet your needs.

Card Games to Teach Emotions

I can bring 2 sets of 32 E-motion cards along with a guide book to help the children to understand the different emotions and how to self-regulate them.

The cards can be used to play various games such as snap, pairs or charades.

Teaching Aids for SENCO

Teaching aids such as the E-motions Ladder, teach children how some emotions feel lower than others, i.e. fear is low, whereas calm is higher, helping them to self-regulate.

There are SENCO support notes and
colouring in books too.

Hi, I'm Rebecca Bishop

In my extensive experience as a holistic therapist, I've witnessed remarkable transformations as clients release layers of pain and trauma from their childhood.

This led me to question why we often operate from subconscious programming established before the age of seven, prompting my commitment to instigate impactful change at its source.

As a qualified NLP Master Practitioner, Energy Alignment Method Mentor, and RQF Level 5 Trainer, my own journey of self-discovery revealed a significant obstacle to healing: an inability to fully feel emotions, which throughout my 20’s and 30’s resulted in often feeling low and depressed.

Rooted in beliefs such as ‘it's wrong to feel anger’, ‘angry people are bad,’ and ‘it’s not acceptable to cry’ I learned to suppress my emotions and instead, perceived the world as a frightening place.

This approach, stemming from my own journey and informed by my work with clients, addresses a significant barrier to emotional release and stands as a powerful solution in nurturing emotional resilience and wellbeing from a young age.

What Teachers are Saying

‘These stories are fantastic for young children with their lovable characters and captivating storylines. They would be great to use in PSHE lessons and with children who may be struggling with different emotions, as well as being enjoyed by the whole class during story time’.

‘Children loved the rhyming and were engaged throughout the whole story. The visuals were very engaging, children were talking about the seasons and how the characters were  physically feeling’.

Emotions – currently a big push for speech and language (particularly for children with SEND- additional needs) to understand emotions and self-regulation. We printed some of the slides and my TA did some drawing of the characters and discussion with our children on Speech and Language’.

Mr Porter, Reception Teacher, (Read to a Reception class), Evelyn Street Primary School.
